BISE Lahore was established in 1954 to run secondary and higher secondary examinations across central Punjab. Four districts fall under its authority: Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib. The regulator handles annual exams for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th classes, plus a supply cycle for candidates who fail one or more papers. It also issues roll number slips, date sheets, registration cards, and certificates.

Regulars go through their institutions; private students apply directly with admission forms and the prescribed fee. Both sit the same papers and appear in the same gazette.

How you check depends on what you have. Roll number is the fastest route. The standard workflow:

3.    Choose the exam type: Part-I (Annual), Part-II (Annual), or Supplementary

6.    Solve the captcha and click Submit

The full marksheet appears within seconds: subject-wise marks, total, percentage, grade, and pass status. The downloadable copy is not a substitute for the original certificate, but colleges accept it for provisional admission interviews.

Class-Wise Results

Each class has its own announcement window:

•       9th Class (SSC Part-I): August 2026, 550 marks total

•       10th Class (SSC Part-II / Matric): July 2026, the year's most-watched announcement

•       11th Class (HSSC Part-I): October 2026, split across the four inter groups

•       12th Class (HSSC Part-II / Intermediate): September 2026, sets the cut-off for university admissions

Result Schedule & Important Dates

Schedule shifts year to year, but the rhythm holds. Matric papers run March to April; inter papers run May to June. Practicals follow the written exams for science and applied groups. The board takes roughly three months to mark and gazette each cycle.

Annual matric results clear around 24 July in most years. Inter follows in mid-September. Supply cycles run through October and November, with the supply gazette out by end-November. If you are chasing a second-annual paper to clear a pending subject, expect 60 to 90 days between the supply exam and supply result.

Grading System & Marks Distribution

Grades depend on percentage scored, not raw marks alone:

•       A-1: 80% and above

•       A: 70% to 79%

•       B: 60% to 69%

•       C: 50% to 59%

•       D: 40% to 49%

•       E: 33% to 39%

•       Fail: below 33%

Total marks vary by class. The 9th and 10th each carry 550 marks, with combined matric totalling 1100. Inter (11th plus 12th) totals 1200 across all four groups. Pass requires 33% per subject and 33% aggregate. A single failed paper pulls the whole result to Fail. That candidate sits the supply paper for the failed subject only and gets a fresh gazette entry on supply day.

Rechecking & Recount Process

Rechecking opens within 15 to 30 days of the announcement. The board re-counts marks, re-totals subject papers, and verifies that no question's marks were skipped. It does not re-mark answers or re-evaluate quality. Full re-evaluation is a separate application, priced higher and rarely successful unless a clerical error is documented.

Steps: download the form from the board's website, fill it for the specific subject, pay the fee at HBL, and submit form plus challan at the BISE Lahore office in Mozang. The revised slip lands at your registered address within 4 to 6 weeks.
